The Founder

Anita Moreau the founder of Black Travel Summit joined Instagram in 2016 and became interested in black travel hashtags and tips, which inspired her to encourage people to create their own travel networks. In 2017/2018, she founded an online marketplace and various groups to support group travel or solo travel etc. In early 2019, she started planning for a 2020 in person event but due to the pandemic she hosted free webinars on Facebook began , which later transitioned to virtual events and now a full on in person conference.
