Visiting Disney During Covid: Magic Kingdom Edition

It was a really hard decision for me to make I did not make this lightly . I am such a huge Disney fan I’ve been going with my family since I was 3 years old. My family would pack up the mini van with about 15 of us all cousins and aunts and uncles and drive from New York to Orlando , Florida every Summer!

So the Disney Parks opened up here in South Florida in July.  Since Covid it has been changed the way of travel as we know it. So many things to to consider before booking your trip to Disney!

Things you should know

Their is an app that you can download called “The My Disney Experience” so that you can buy your tickets, Make your reservation for hotels and restaurants”

You must wear your mask at all times and 

you can only take it off while eating and drinking but you must be stationary 

They don’t have the character meet and greet anymore and they don’t have the firework show at the end. If you have never been to the parks before that may be disappointing to you not being able to experience that but nonetheless Disney still does everything they can to ensure you still have a magical trip.

You also have to make reservations to get into the park before your trip to make sure that you can get into the park you choose and the date is available. 

Covid Safety

They were pretty good about having sanitizers everywhere and they do temperature checks before even going into the park. They put distance between you while waiting in line and when in the rides. They seat you with your party and by every other seat.

I would definitely recommend getting to the park early. We went to Magic Kingdom the operating hours are from 9 am to 8pm check website for the dates to make sure the hours are the same. If you stay at a a Disney resort then you can get free transportation to the park and also your able to go into the park 1 hour before the general public.

The snacks are amazing make sure you look out for these special treats. They also do special treats for different holidays like Fall and Christmas. During November when we went they have Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween! Here are some treats that you can look out for.

They are not offering fast passes available right now and no annual passes available right now until further notice. The wait time for the rides are starting to go up again as more people are returning to the parks ,the longest wait time was 50 minutes and the shortest wait times were 15 minutes long.
